GetActive uses the phased Optimal Performance Training (OPT) Model to progress and regress a client in their program. Phases are usually two to four weeks long, depending on the client's progression rate. Alternating phases and progressing within a phase is all customized to each client's current goal. Progression and regression is designed to obtain maximum results with minimal risk of injury.

A muscle imbalance occurs when one muscle is not being active because the opposite muscle is tight. If not treated, your muscles can pull your skeletal structure, leading to a skeletal imbalance, which affects how your body moves, sits, and stands naturally.
Performance problems, unwanted plateaus, numbness, tightness, lost range of motion, circulation issues, and pain are symptoms that can be caused by one or more muscle imbalances.
